Mandarin lecturers, working with Confucius Institute
Nihao!
Chinese language and culture classes are being held in a form of fun games aiming at enabling imitative and hearing abilities od children (Chinese is a tonal language). During the classes, children use materials, specifically prepared for 3 to 9-year-old foreigners learning Chinese. The program is approved by Hanban (the Office of the Chinese Language Council International).
Since the school year 2010/2011, we've started a cooperation with the Confucius Institute of the University of Wroclaw. Teachers from China that work with the Confucius Institute are teaching Chinese language and culture classes in our Kindergarten. Institute encompassed all of the children with learning Chinese (since the beginning of the Kindergarten's existence). We are the only Kindergarten in Europe that teaches languages of tomorrow - aside from English, we teach Chinese and Russian.
Chinese is a tonal language that's why it's best to learn it since the youngest years. Chinese (Mandarin) classes are taught by Chinese students, on internship by the Confucius Institute of the University of Wroclaw. The Confucius Institute in Wrocław came into existence in the year 2008 is one of four in Poland and one of few hundreds in the whole world. Since the very beginning, the Confucius Institute helps to provide courses of Chinese language both for students of the University of Wrocław and for every other interested in learning Chinese. For many years, the Confucius Institute cooperates with kindergartens, primary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools in Wrocław. Chinese language classes are provided for every age group, 2 times a week - for the youngest kids it's 20 minutes per class, for the older ones it's 30 minutes.
